The Horizon Institute is committed to providing training programmes for young people and now offer a suite of programmes. This includes an industrial placement scheme for undergraduates, a graduate remote training programme, internships and summer work experience for college and undergrad cohorts. We were delighted to receive external recognition for our graduate programme from Cardiff University.
Over 50 per cent of our clients and employees are under the age of 35, so we’re passionate about supporting the early careers of young people.
The Youth Programme
The Horizon Youth programme is a largely free, tailored, programme for 16 to 24 year olds which helps young people develop key financial literacy skills through interactive workshops and online learning. Developed with education experts from The Horizon Institute, our youth programme aims to deliver valuable key skills that are valuable whatever career they choose to pursue.
The programme is free to use for non-profit and governmental organizations and includes lesson plans and resources suitable for use by teachers, youth workers and careers advisers as well as interactive online activities for young people.
Covering skills such as teamwork, communication, finance, mathmatics and problem solving, the learning materials support the teaching of careers, employability and enterprise and are flexible in that they can be delivered as an entire programme over the course of a term or year, or as individual topics in one-off lessons.
